INTRO

Enjoy a restorative and Earth-friendly camping experience situated on our quiet farm. Relax by the campfire with your partner or close friend and craft a delicious meal with the cooking essentials provided by us. Don't sweat the packing, simply bring a cooler and clothes and prepare to enjoy yourself on this little farm oasis.

Disclaimers:
+ There is a beautiful stone home on the same property. Three lovely gentlemen (including my father) live there. They are very friendly and kind.
+ We did our best to seal the dome but there may be bugs because of the proximity to nature.
+ We have a port-a-pot toilet. The toilet is straight out of the dome, past the shower, along the tree line toward the driveway. We clean it before every guest.
+ It can get very hot (summer) or cold (winter) in the dome because of the lack of insulation. However! We now have a pellet stove that consumes very little but keeps the dome super warm even in sub freezing temps.
+ Cool vibes only. We have a cooler available for your refreshments.
+ There is a main road about 1/2 a mile away which can cause some background noise during the night. We provide sleeping earplugs for those who prefer more quiet.
+ During the cold months (November- March) of the year, we usually need to turn the water off leading from the house. This will cause the shower and sink to be unavailable. There will still be drinking water available from a water jug in the dome. We are working on a solution to the shower. Thanks!

BATHROOM
It's outdoors, situated under the shade and protection of pine trees.
+ Port-a-pot. The toilet is straight out of the dome, past the shower, along the tree line toward the driveway. We clean it before every guest.
+ Hot Water for Showering
+ Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Wash
+ Running and Potable Water - see disclaimer above about cold months

OUTDOOR SPACES
The Dome is situated on Strawberry Hill overlooking the farm, which we're slowly transforming into an orchard and rewilding with native trees and wildflowers. See if you notice any wild flower patches or the beginnings of one. This property has a stone house on the same acre so it is private but the house is only 50 yards away.

+ You're free to roam the farm up to the creek and tree line at the bottom of the hill

Strawberry Hill Dome, outdoor patio, and outdoor bathroom are entirely private for you! You are welcome to explore the fields and gardens. Watch where you step! Many things are growing.

We are 1.5 hours from DC, 1 hour from Baltimore, 1 hour from Philly, 15 min from Newark, 12 min from UDel,

THINGS TO DO
There's a lot of nature, farms and a growing brewery scene.
- Fair Hill (8 min drive) - Lots of hiking, mountain biking, rare birds, water
- Milburn Orchard (9 min) - Pick-your-own family farm. Apples, berries and more.
- Walnut Springs Farm (7 min)- Pick-your-own family farm. Blueberries and black raspberries.
- Vahalla Brewing Company (8 min) - Craft brews, live entertainment, and a kitchen that’s open nightly.
- 1723 Vineyards (11 min) - New winery, family friendly.
- Maryland Beer Company (12 min) - Craft brews, food truck dining, and the space is dog-friendly.
- Elk River Brewing Company (14 min) - Craft brews with someone for everyone, serving local wines as well.
- Dove Valley Wine (14 min) - Tasty wines and beautiful outdoors.

Park up the the driveway by the dome.
You can wander the grounds on foot (walking around the farm and down to the creek). To go on longer hikes, you'll need a car though.

We have one king bed and 2 queen air mattresses. We have some extra linens as well, but not in every size.

Important Note About Cooling the Dome
Due to the unique structure of the dome and its exposure to direct sunlight, indoor temperatures can rise significantly on very hot and sunny days (80°F and above). While the air conditioning is available and running, please note that it may not be able to fully keep up with peak daytime heat.

We highly recommend planning your daytime adventures around the beautiful outdoor activities nearby. Many guests find this to be the perfect time to explore! As the sun sets and temperatures cool in the evening, the AC will become much more effective, and comfortable conditions will return inside the dome.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: Ninety-seven percent (97.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
